at a Glance

Welcome to Virtual Air Traffic Control Center of Vatsim > Vatasia > Vatwa, vACCSRM for Sri Lanka and Maldives.

From its virgin forests to its great antiquities, from its abundant wildlife to its fine cuisine - Sri Lanka and Maldives are the most magical countries in the world.

"On leaving the island of Andaman and sailing for 1000 miles a little south of west," wrote Marco Polo, "the traveller reaches Ceylon, and Maldives further down, which are undoubtedly the finest islands of its size in the entire world."

Here at vACCSRM, our controllers are continuously working to provide the world with a gateway to these islands. As the presence of air travel becomes more prevalent across all corners of the world, SRM works hand in hand with Vatsim ATC, allowing pilots to reach these tropical paradises.

Welcome to vACCSRM, where ambitions fly high. Embark on a winning career from experienced controllers to dynamic professionals, by joining our diverse team. We take pride in our controllers, who are dedicated, efficient and friendly.

Please explore the site, it has all the information required for Vatsim flying, for both air traffic controllers and pilots. Our training materials are specifically compiled to help all. We assist and welcome new controllers & pilots to the region, and support them in reaching the highest professional standards.

Tower: Traffic at your 6 o’clock, 2 miles, same altitude, closing slowly.

Pilot: Roger. Since our plane doesn’t come standard with rear view mirrors, could you keep us apprised?

***

Ground Control: Good news, you are clear to taxi to the active.

Pilot: Roger, What’s the bad news?

Ground Control: No bad news at the moment, but you probably want to get gone before I find any.

***

Pilot: “Request heading 110 to avoid.”

Tower: “To avoid what!?”

Pilot: “To avoid delay.”
